Winter 2016 (a retrospect)

So, my parents totally slacked on updating my blog in the first half of 2016. 

Here are some highlights from my life and times --Frank

Happy New Year! With Ady and Keira, my soon-to-be cousins

We enjoyed several shows at the Civic Center this winter. 

Who knew Goodnight Moon was so entertaining?

I loved Peter and the Wolf by the Des Moines Symphony.

This is my new pal, Stella! Ang and Chuck stayed at Missy's house for their first trip back to Des Moines. 

I'm a good helper. 

Mom is not sure why she let me ride this hideous animal at the mall.

We like to beat the winter blues at the tropical Des Moines Botanical Gardens!

My first Iowa Caucus! Our neighborhood was the headquarters
for national media coverage, which was mostly amusing. 

My favorite hot chocolate/ice cream joint, Java Joe's was turned into a TV studio,
and we FINALLY got to go back inside on this visit.

I love the State Historical Museum. Mom agreed to disagree with my candidate of choice. 

Also at the Historical Museum: The Music Man! There's trouble in River City (Iowa). 

Just because it's winter is no reason not to go to the zoo!
A lot of the animals were more active on a mild(ish) winter day. 

Like the lion and the polar bear. 

And the tiger. 

We were accompanied by Share Bear, who goes home with one preschooler each week
and (Mom) writes a diary of its adventures. 

Share Bear also watched The Wizard of Oz, one of my favorite movies. 

Mostly we had "indoor fun" this winter ...
